OverDrive: When a passion for basketball becomes a mother-son adventure
It all started on a basketball court.
Practices, games, car discussions, shared ideas, and a common passion for everything that goes with the sport: sneakers, music, graphic design, and streetwear culture.
Then, one day, a simple question arose:
Why don't we create the clothes we'd truly love to wear, together?
That's how OverDrive was born.
A brand born in Pepinster
OverDrive is a young Belgian brand, conceived in 2026 in Pepinster by a mother and son, Aurélie and Oscar.
Oscar experiences basketball on the court. Aurélie follows it from the stands, with the team, and in the club's life. Two generations, two different perspectives, but one shared desire: to build a world that reflects them.
Our inspiration naturally comes from basketball, but OverDrive doesn't want to just create sportswear. The brand is for those who love to keep the energy and attitude of the court in their daily lives.
From the court to the street. From the game to the weekend.
More than a sport, a culture
Basketball doesn't stop at the final whistle.
It influences the music we listen to, the shoes we wear, the graphic expressions we appreciate, and how we assert our style.
OverDrive draws its identity from this encounter between three worlds:
- basketball and its energy;
- streetwear and its freedom;
- lifestyle and moments lived away from the court.
Our creations thus combine sports references with more urban, vintage, or summery vibes. A basketball can leave the court to go on a surfboard. A sports logo can become a discreet embroidery on a cap or a pair of socks.
At OverDrive, basketball always remains somewhere in the background, even when it's taking a little vacation.
The OD monogram
At the heart of the brand's identity is our monogram OD.
Its two letters intertwine to form a simple, recognizable, and dynamic symbol. They represent OverDrive, but also the meeting of two personalities and two generations around a common project.
The monogram was designed to be used in different ways: embroidered on a cap, discreetly placed on the chest, printed on clothing, or integrated into an illustration.
The trucker cap and OD socks are among the first pieces imagined around this identity. Simple accessories, easy to wear, and directly inspired by basketball culture.
An adventure built together
Creating OverDrive is not just about choosing a logo and placing it on a piece of clothing.
Every visual is discussed, corrected, and sometimes entirely redone. Oscar brings his ideas and perspective on trends. Frédéric works on the brand's coherence, store creation, and project development.
There are trials, a few failures, and sometimes debates worthy of a close game's end. But that's precisely what gives meaning to the adventure.
OverDrive is being built gradually, with the desire to offer original creations and a sincere identity. We want to take the time to test our ideas and develop pieces that we would be proud to wear ourselves.
Shifting into high gear
The name OverDrive symbolizes this desire to move forward and dare to transform an idea into a concrete project.
Shifting into high gear doesn't mean always going faster. It also means staying focused, learning, starting over, and continuing to progress.
Play. Focus. Drive. Repeat.
The story is just beginning. The first clothes and accessories are being prepared, the graphic universe is taking shape, and new ideas are already arriving—often faster than we can produce them.
Welcome to our adventure.
Welcome to OverDrive.
